Why is drouin worth that? Not that it is a lot, but not sure what your going to get from drouin and his 5.5 contract audition for longer contract and if he resigns

Yeah, Canes pass hard. Necas and Schiefele both had down years, but Pesce did not and, imo, he's got more value to Carolina than both Schiefele and Necas right now seeing as he effectively played top-pairing RD minutes for the Canes this year. Him and Skjei were the Canes go-to pairing. Carolina's C core is also stacked as it is. Schiefele makes no sense. If you want to move a forward, we could talk about Kyle Connor though.

I have tried that Necas+Pesce for Scheif trade before and got killed by Canes fans. They wont even trade Pesce for Scheif 1 for 1.

HAHAHA Hilarious how you shoot down pretty much every ACGM Jets team but hardly provide any feedback. Keep trolling!

Lol. What feedback is required here? The Jets are moving players at a fraction of their value. Anyone can see that.

Because Drouin sucks and I would rather have Heinola than Helleson and Comtois who was scratched a lot last year. The Canes trade I like but Canes fans hate it.

Its an overpaid veteran D-man with an extra year of term and a young D-man that hasn't even been an effective 3rd pair guy in the NHL. Those are two peices Montreal wouldn't want at all. Even if Drouin "sucks" (and its more injury issues than sucking right now), I'd rather have him for a year than Dillon for two and Stanley is the kind of D-men that ends up on waivers every season.

Switch Scheifele for Ehlers and Pesce for Skjei and we can have a conversation - and I know you won’t do that. Makes no sense for the Canes to trade Pesce…he is worth more to the Canes than what teams would be willing to give up.

Cap hit of 5.5 and not knowing what your going to get, isn’t great cap management in my opinion, especially even with success, there’s no guarantee of staying. If the team just needed a final piece and needed a final piece gamble, I’m not sure drouin is the answer even in that scenario, that’s a small city, and live and die with jets, probably not great for mental health. Not a great trade either way.

I'm looking at it from a Montreal perspective. There's no reason they'd entertain that. They don't need a Dillon type even if they trade Petry. D Stanley's age/situation get waived every single season and Montreal can (and probably will) pick up a guy like that off of waivers early next season (same with Klague this season). Its basically just a move for Montreal to hurt their cap situation in 2023, which would be dumb.

Ya fair enough, I’m looking at jets perspective and not sure drouin is a option, even if he is literally gifted at that cap hit, without team control, or other guys moved to make a need.

Anaheim is willing to invest the first 3/4 of this season to see if Comtois rebounds, so the Ducks wouldn't trade him even up for Heinola. Aside from that, it makes zero sense for a team thin on defense to trade one defense prospect for another.
