It was reported at the trade deadline, that Semyon Varlamov wouldn't waive for Edmonton or Washington. So i don't see him waiving for the Caps.

Parise was a better fit than Lee , Bailey and Komarov, but he's entering his age 38 season and he still nothing more than a solid 3rd liner last season.
