I think a 3rd or maybe even a second would be more useful to Arizona than Samo just because they have a decent amount of guys on that leftside

Also if you put Mcloed on the first line and Kane on the second and hyman on the third thats a speedy top line, a big second line, and a great two way third line which could be one of the best forward groups in the league

I see why people are wanting to move on from Kassian and Foegele mainly because of their cap hits. But I think the Oilers need to be careful moving away from too many physical depth players that can skate.

They were generally considered to be a soft team this year and replacing Kassian and Foegele with Benson, Marody, Holloway, and Shore as cheaper depth players makes your team a lot easier to play against

Some good stuff here. Concerned about going with Smith and Skinner next year, though.

Value is fine, but Detroit can't give up Zadina without at least seeing what he can do under a new head coach for a full season first...

I don't know...if Miroshnichenko is still available there I'd probably take this deal. But I agree it would be hard to give up on Zadina now without seeing what he can do with a different coach.

I don't want anything to do with drafting ANY Russian players for the foreseeable future. The last thing we need right now, is to waste a pick on a guy that will never even make it over to North America.

Getting a top five talent at the end of the first round? That sounds like exactly what a rebuilding team needs. I disagree with the idea that Russian players drafted this year "will never even make it over to North America" and obviously quite a few GMs agree since Miroshnichenko is still being heavily scouted. Hell, Foegele would probably equal Zadina's production from last year rather easily so I don't see a ton of risk. I like Zadina but I think this trade is worth it, Guess we'll have to disagree on this one...doesn't happen very often, lol.
