Why would you get any pick, much less ARI 2nd rounder for Weber? There's easier ways for them to reach cap floor.

ARZ isn’t paying a penny for a cap dump, spending money is literally the easiest thing they can do even if they hate it.

Why is Anaheim sending anything more than future considerations for your cap dump, your not-good-at-all waiver claim dman, and the signing rights to Mathieu Friggin' Perreault tears of joy

actually no there isnt, theres no better contract in the entire nhl right now then webers for a team trying to reach the floor. Not going to be moving him for a 2nd but will be a 5th or something going back to mtl.

Stop with the PHI getting Petry.

They have Ellis and Risto at RD and York, provorov, sanheim at LD, they don't need Petry and cant afford, unless you take JVR back and then PHI wil flip Petry for almost nothing.

But really PHI doesn;t need/want Petry, find another team

Weber will go to ARZ or Seattle for cheap.. 7 mill cap hit for 3-4 years (I forget) and gets 3 mill this year then 1 mill the rest… they make a ton of cash from this… it’s a business move… but yeah, they won’t pay for Weber

I can see them being fine taking the contract in since it's substantially less on cash than cap but no team is going to pay in assets for it just to help out MTL

I proposed a deal in a thread that no one read once where Weber and a cap dump (I think Hoffman) along with an early 2nd went to ARZ for Ghost… which I also moved Ghost to wing because he sucks at D but still has all the makings of a stud winger… I think something like that might work but maybe I’m wrong…

you are right no one is going to be helping mtl out by taking weber because MTL doesnt need to move weber's contract.
