Wings aren't paying you so they can take on a bad contract

Most DET fans agree. Schmidt would be great with Sieder while you wait for edvinsson and wallinder on the left side.

Like the first 2 trades- Puljujärvi is an interesting thought.
The first things Chevy has to do(in no particle order)-
1. Hire a top coach from outside of the organization (Trotz hopefully).
2. Resign Dubois.
3. Trade for a top 4 RHD by trading Schmidt for cap space and use a combination of NYR 2022 1st, either Dillon or DeMelo, and 1 or more prospects. Sounds like Severson is staying NJ but a player like him is needed.
4. Make Scheifele and Wheeler earn the "A" and the "C" and their paychecks. They got to realize the must buy in more.

Of the rumored to be available for cheap LD options for Detroit, I like Schmidt the best, though he is also the most expensive in terms of cap hit.

Schmidt with Seider could be a solid pair
