There is no scenario where the bruins take Barrie…other than they’re rebuilding, and you pay them to.

Personally I would happily take that debrincat trade but I don't know if hawks fans will want to do that

I am very interested in connor murphy though (I understand they just signed him to an extension but he is like the exact thing edmonton needs right now and I would be happy if we paid a premium for him)

Aside from Amirov being in this deal, that's likely the cost to acquire Kane at full retention. Don't think TOR brass will pull the trigger on it though.

I'm not opposed to selling off some assets for picks and prospects and "committing to the rebuild". but this ain't it and you aren't even a CHI fan. The Cat trade is not enough, the Kane trade is fair in my opinion but will have TOR fans screaming at you, and the rest of those trades are way too favorable to CHI to be realistic. Strome and Kubalik could probably fetch something like that if they showed a couple more seasons of consistency, but right now, I don't think their values are close to that. Barrie doesn't bring back anything like that without retention. Marc Vlasic is a pure cap dump.

Very obvious you're an oilers fan with that cat trade.
Values are all over the place here. Cat costs a ton more than that. Kubalik and strome don't get that much.

Don’t trade for Amirov, it’s not going to happen.
If he was healthy though the leafs decline, if they dump half of their prospect pool into one player they have nothing to trade for others, they could get three or four good players to fill out the lineup with those pieces

Why wouldn’t San Jose just keep their 1st and young goaltender and trade Vlasic to Nashville themselves?

Sweeney has never been looking for a PP QB.

Tyson Barrie is horrible, and his contract is horrible. He plays the opposite style that the Bruins play. Soft. Lazy. Weak. Irresponsible. If the bruins acquired Barrie they would be buying him out instantly.
