As a leaf fan, it confuses me why so many people think the leafs arent keeping him... Dubas sticks by his guys, and sandin is one of them

If Elliotte Friedman says something on his podcast, it's going to be all over this board.

I think it's a possible option they will look at when they go to upgrading their team, but it's very unlikely they do it without something substantial coming back the other way.

IMO, they need to hold onto him. Brodie & Muzzin are only going to get worse from here. In a couple years, they should be looking at Rielly, Sandin, Liljegren and Niemela as their top 4.

Honestly I think right now the Leafs are functioning in a "what makes our team better for 22/23 and 23/24" in almost all of their moves. Anybody who doesn't fit in that guideline has to be available. I want to keep him too, but if moving him helps you, you do it.

I agree, but at 22 he is at the age for a potential breakout year. Unless he is in a package for a stud D, C or G, i wouldnt move him.
