Description
Another look. Probably tough to pull of a trade for Mang and Fiala since Necas would probably require to be center piece of both but maybe there's a way to add more prospects / picks to get both done.

Fiala provides the improved goal scoring on top 6 while Mang provides a gritty element with scoring touch and strong 2 way game, long-term Nino replacement w/ more upside.

Zadarov probably could get more so might need to downgrade a bit from him but this would be ideal.

Idk I've liked what I've seen from him given smaller sample size (probably watched 15-20 flames games this year). Think he'd be a good addition for our third pair.

trust me I've watched lots of flames games (in hope that they lose), hes insanely slow and gets walked a few times a game. Don't forget how often he takes unnecessary penalties. For 3.5 I think the canes could do ALOT better than him

Maybe so - I was having a tough time looking at the UFAs available to slot in around the 3-3.5m mark. Nobody stood out so maybe better suited going a bit cheaper. Could bring back somebody like Cole but I honestly wasn't impressed with him. For a veteran who is supposed to know what it takes to get the team to next level he made rookie level mistakes and took the worst penalties at the worst times.

looking from the UFA dmen UFA for under 3 mil you got Kulak, Gudbranson, Braun, Murray, stetcher, Hagg. All of those guys I'd say would do better than Zadorov for the Canes

The Calgary deal is about right. To get fiala I think you need to give up another premium piece which is likely to be morrow, unfortunately

Yeah i was thinking the same - maybe Drury a lesser prospect and a first would work although i don't love that either

It’s a give quality to get quality situation. If ur making 2 deals one will center around necas and the other will center around morrow
