I’m guessing none of these get done. Vanecek is better and younger and Iorio is a great RSD prospect. Hard pass lol geez.

Jake Allen will be 32 when the season starts, and over the past 2 years in Montreal has a .906 SV%, 3.01 GAA, and -3.2 GSAA in 64 GP.

Scott Wedgewood will be 30 when the season starts, and over the past 2 years between NJ/Arizona/Dallas has a .907 SV%, 3.13 GAA, and -0.7 GSAA in 53 GP. He'll probably sign around $1.5-2M AAV.

Casey DeSmith will be 31 when next season starts and over the past 2 seasons in Pittsburgh has put up a .913 SV%, 2.68 GAA, and 7.6 GSAA in 46 GP. He'll probably sign around $2M AAV.

There's also guys who are a little older with similar numbers (Thomas Greiss, Jaro Halak) or younger guys who have lesser track records (Kevin Lankinen/Eric Comrie) who will all be able to be added to your roster for the cost of a contract only.

You can *maybe* get a 2nd for Jake Allen, or push for a late 1st with full retention. Edmonton is not giving up Puljujarvi for him. The Caps are not giving up Vincent Iorio for him. The Blues are not giving up Scott Perunovich to bring him back.

As much as I love Allen and yes he is one of my favorite players, actually tried to get his jeresy a couple times. He’s not worth that anymore if he was ever

Allen is paid cheaply and the Habs if they retain at the TDL could get something decent but I highly doubt they get much of anything in the offseason.
They also need him to be their goalie with the Price situation.
You cant put Primeau behind this awful defence corps, again!
He just got his confidence back in Laval with this post season run. Keep him in Laval, sign Monty and go with a tandem of Allen and Montembeault

Allen was moved for a third- and seventh-round pick ... hes older and worse now BUT yes every team should pay a premium for a 30+ year old backup. Literally can sign Holtby Husso Wedgewood Halak Campbell ... but yes lets give up Vanecek who is younger and better and our only RSD prospect who is developing to be better than his draft position for him + 3rd. wow how could we say no. No one says yes idk why you always do this. Watch other GMs and learn instead of doing this...

Doesn’t matter. Still not worth that. Just like your Allen trade post
