1.
TOR
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
any mid to late round pick, doesn't matter specifically which round
2.
TOR
Sabres could use Holl on their third pairing and hope that Mrazek finds his game back and they could flip him maybe with some retention
    BUF
    1. Holl, Justin
    2. Mrázek, Petr
    3. 2024 2nd round pick (TOR)
    3.
    TOR
    1. Roy, Matt
    Additional Details:
Trade that I think makes a lot of sense. Muzzin could play with Durzi on LA's second pairing and Roy would help the leafs out on the right seed allowing Sandin to stay on his left side

Believe me. Danny Dekeyser is done. He had to endure a lot of back pain just to finish out his contract.

The Sabres don’t want Mrázek or Holl. They could use a veteran right side defender who is actually good at playing defense, not a liability. And as has been said many times over and apparently needs to continue being said, Mrázek is an over paid sieve. I doubt anyone will be trading for him, and I expect the compensation if they were willing to to be pretty painful for Toronto. I think he gets bought out instead.

Flip Holl at the deadline then with 50% retention to be some playoff teams 7th dman. And the hole Mrazek is awful is such a recesncy biased statement, he was a 1A 1B for years and he had one bad year in the Toronto spotlight and now he's done. Nobody thought it was an overpayment for him when the leafs signed him... not one person... Sabres could bring him in let him build up his confidence again and then flip him for a 3rd round pick with some retention if things work out. Say they flip Holl for a 5th or 6th now just for having some cap space you have gained a 2nd, 3rd, and 6th round picks for giving up nothing

Because Durzi is no longer a third pairing defenseman plus they have Walker who they are paying 2.8 million, plus Clarke developing on the right side. My thought is they should find someone to compliment Durzi and play on the left side, then you could run Anderson - Doughty, Muzzin - Durzi, Matta - Walker/Spence

The Sabres personally set Mrázek on fire every time they played him this year. Why in the hell would they want to add that guy to the organization? Burying him in the AHL certainly won’t make him happy, and you don’t want that guy poisoning the young goaltenders we want playing down there. Coincidence that he was much better in Carolina, just like Andersen this year? Maybe Carolina is just a much better team than Toronto. Our young defense core doesn’t need a goalie that they have to protect, as much as they need a guy they can count on to make a save when they make a mistake. Mrázek isn’t that guy anymore. As for Holl, I don’t think he’s the fit that the team is looking for.

Matt Roy is probably the last guy they would consider trading right now. I’m pretty sure they would sooner give up a guy like Durzi or Walker than Roy because he brings everything to the table that you want, and he has a nice contract right now.

No team, i repeat, NO TEAM, will have any interest in Mrazek
U Leafs fans really gotta knock off the “maybe Buffalo think he can regain his form” crap
    We don’t think that
    No one does

That said, maybe we take this deal & bury him since we need a goalie for our AHL team
I do agree with you that Holl could be an ok 3rd pair guy
Him & the 2nd are maybe enough to get us to take Mrazek- maybe

Nope. Leaf fans are being unrealistic in trading muzzin back to the kings to get out of a big contract and an aging player with concussion problems

You’re being a bit too harsh imo
Holl is decent defensively & would be fine on the 3rd pair
Mrazek blows, but we have no AHL goaltenders, so we could bury him there. If he doesn’t like it, he can go play in Europe.

{sigh} Yet another Jake-Muzzin-back-to-Los-Angeles fantasy. Have we reached the thousandth-time level yet? We're looking for a top-level young LD with term like Jakob Chychrun, Ivan Provorov or Mikhail Sergachev, not an expensive veteran who has a poor injury history, and we don't need stopgaps because there are several cheap UFAs that won't cost us anything to sign or pay. And the idea that we would trade Matt Roy, who is younger, cheaper by 40%, healthier and faster than Muzzin, in a trade exchanging a #2LD for a #2RD even up is just cuckoo. You could literally add your 2022 first-round pick to that offer and Los Angeles would still say NO.

Considering Buffalo only received a seventh for taking on Bishop's cap, why would any Sabre fan expect a second AND Holl for taking on Mrázek.
First of all you sent me to my dictionary today, the first time ever in cap friendly, "recency" thank you very much.
Second, expecting a 3rd for Mrázek seems to be a little hyperbolic, far more likely to get a third or more for Holl at the TDL as NHL GM's get crazy when a RHD is available.
Third, you are correct, Buffalo would be silly to reject this trade.
With only one signed RHD, who else does Buffalo have in the pipe line after Jokiharju.
Fourth, Buffalo will not make the playoffs this year, with Mrázek in net they will improve their draft position.
    His SV% of 0.888 was only a shade less (0.009) than Anderson's 0.897.
Lastly, I do agree with one more of your points, Mike Bales may be able to bring out the best of Mrázek.
If Dubas offered this to Karmanos, IMO, Jason would accept the deal without hesitation.
Of course, you need to remember, I often swim against the current.

EDIT: Let me add, I do not think the Sabres will be making any deals to reach the playoffs this year.
All Sabre fans should be able to take note Ben Bishop's contract was white flag of surrender that cap space will NOT be used to sign ANY UFA's this year.
The above mentioned trade is a good deal and offers the Sabres two NHL players filling holes in the line up and second round pick.

No one is overrating Roy, he is what he is, second pair shutdown D man who fits the kings system well. The very reason you trade for him is is the same reason you want him. Kings don’t want an older, more expensive, concussion prone player.

2 x 5.6m for a 33yr old who does not contrubute offensively. Plenty of UFA guys who do the same thing that can be had for 1 x 2M. the lesson here is dont since Defense D men to long term expensive deals once they get close to 30. Oilers about the learn that with Nurse. Sharks are paying for that with Vlasic
