I believe it was reported that Varlamov wouldn't waive for Canadian teams around the deadline. Blackwood to Arizona is also a bit odd, not sure why they'd be interested in him.

I think the Jets will sign Comrie with a slight bump in pay, they like him and he seems to like the organization and his family is loaded so doubt money is his top priority, guessing he'd be looking for stability more than anything.

He's related to Mike Comrie? Then yeah, money isn't an issue. LOL

Yeah pretty sure he's his brother, his family started The Brick furniture stores in Canada, just a guess but he's probably set for life already.

How does Montreal go after Georgiev, we literally still have Price, Allen, Montembault and Primeau who all have NHL experience, even if Price is out and Primeau needs more AHL time, we still have an Allen-Monty tandem

Chicago apparently is looking to blow it up and rebuild

As if Debrincat, Dach, Kane and Toews along with Kubalik and Strome are available yeah I dont think that means they go sign Campbell

I think they will probs trade for Mrazek and tank a few years

Nedeljkovic was just horrible for the wings this past season, and I don’t think Hill would be the guy for them to go after. They’ll need a better starter.

I mean to be fair Detroits Dcore is 7 steps behind Carolina's

So of course Ned's numbers were gonna tank and not getting support can make an indecisive goalie look really bad

As other than Seider Detroit got nobody good rn

Now in 5 years we may be talking differently but yeah idk if Ned is around then

Kuemper is the signing I really want, and the one Devils really need.
Fiala, DeBrincat, Pastrnak and like are just luxuries that the Devils don't really need at this point in time, their strongest area is already at forward.

Surprised you think Blackwood's off to Arizona, wonder what the Devils would get in return.
Feel like Blackwood hasn't had a fair go at things in Jersey so far.
When he gets injury free and an actually competent goalie to share the net with, I think Blackwood's gonna develop into a true starter in time.

It's not just that.
Nedeljkovic had a genuinely poor season.
He took a massive step back from last year.
Seems to me he was as big of a problem for Detroit as their D corps.

The Devils really need to add a legit top 6 winger though.

I don’t see that as a need.
Last year the Devils forward corps were an above average one in the league.
With the development our younger guys coupled with Wood coming back and Hughes not missing 30+ games through injury, I wouldn’t rule out the Devils having a top 10 forward corps without any off season additions.
With that said I would love it if the Devils got someone like Copp, Palat or Nichushkin in FA.
Goaltending should be first priority however.
