That sure is ken hollands team, probably want a goalie who is 10-12 years older than blackwood to fit his model tho. plus would likely trade broberg for vlassic to erase his cap space that opened up

You don't need to add to Barrie to move him.

Kassian likely doesn't work with his Habs history

Kassian is a much bigger cap dump than Pitlick. Lavioe is slightly worst than Heinamen, and another 5th rounder was included. I could see Anderson being worth more than Toffoli because he is not a type of player that is common in the NHL. A top 6 power forward, great skater. Toffoli is just an average top 6 sniper even if he is maybe better. So IDK if it is enough.

Kassian was traded from Montreal in order to send him back you are going to have to pay huge. Like Halloway for taking Kassian huge, even then I don't know if Molson goes for taking back a guy he ran out of town.

A two year, $3.2 mil contract is slightly than a one year, $1.1 mil contract. The Habs also value Anderson significantly more than they did toffoli so they won’t be selling him for less.

I agree with your points but the other side of the coin can be made as well. Anderson makes more money than Toffoli by like 1.5 mil ish? That's a decent third fourth liner in a flat cap era. Plus anderson is injury prone so that should decrease his value a little bit. Yes Kassian is a bigger cap dump than Pitlick but is also a better player than Pitlick

The more people talk about an Anderson trade, the more it feels like both sides are too far apart. Habs people want at least a first and a prospect. Edmonton wants to dump a bunch of salary for them to take Anderson the other way.
It just feels like it won't work out.

what are you talking about. Kassian was traded from Montreal yes but he also never played a game for the habs. And no you are not trading Holloway to get rid of a $3 million cap hit. For a guy that is still a good fourth liner. Yes the trade might not happen that's why it's on cap friendly for debate, but if you debate something make a reasonable point

Anderson also makes 1.5 mil more than Toffoli did. And I didn't say they were selling him for less, said it was for a comparable package.

Ya i agree it seems like it would be harder to get done than would be actually worth making the trade. Just fun to have hypotheticals

Montreal ran him out of town because he had a car accident while impaired! His cap hit is 3.2 mil for 2 years and Molson would still not want to take him back for anything less than 2 1st round picks value wise. See link below.
