It's doubtful that Brad Lambert falls to #25 overall.
And Jack Campbell isn't taking anything less than 5 x 5

If Lambert is still on the board at #23, I'll stop being an Anaheim fan.

First of all, you can forget Frenchy with that sad offer. He'll stay in STL. Secondly, the Blues don't want Lily, don't want Kase and aren't retaining. You can try again with that new info, but, short of maybe Sandin, Toronto doesn't really have what the Blues want.

Long shot to have anyone picked at 25 to have an impact in their draft +1 seasons.

If Toronto is looking to move Sandin I instantly thought of the Blues as being a potential landing space. Wasn't sure though because of a potential skillset overlap with Faulk and Krug. Would love to get Kyrou but I can't see St. Louis being open to moving him or Thomas. Not sure Barbashev is enough, but it's definitely an interesting conversation.

Spending more cap to get worse is not anything resembling a good deal.

How is getting rid of Barbashev to add one guy we don't need and one who'd never play not becoming worse? Seems pretty obvious.

I like Barbie, but Liljegren is by far the better player and has a higher ceiling. Plus a first next year is a hell of a sweetener even if they have to retain a little for 1 year. Sure Sandin fits a need better, but Liljegren can play 3rd pair RD while Bortz is the 7th D where he should be. Kase is a decent enough, and cheap enough guy to play on the 3rd line for a year as well

Muh huh. Says the guy who wants to waste resources on things that don't help this team win a Cup right now AND spend cap space to do it...

yeah, don't you want to trade for Jett Woo. I want the Blues to do more than just this, but this offer would make the Blues better now and in the future
