You could easily win a Calder Cup with that goaltending, but it's not going to get you far in the NHL.

But NSH declines anyway. They need a backup more than they need Kerfoot.

My lingering agm has us at 6.5m for goaltending. That's with Muzzin on the team and meazek in the minors.

And who would that goalie be? In my opinion it's just too risky to devote cap to a position that is going to have uncertainty in any scenario. Goaltending is just too random and I think it would be smarter to put the best team together while gambling on cheaper goaltending, which seems like the direction management is going.

You only gamble with term, not cap space. No need to go after inexperienced goalies.
