Trades
1.
VAN
  1. Bernard-Docker, Jacob
  2. Formenton, Alex [RFA Rights]
  3. 2022 1st round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Draft Day. OTT gets JT because things heat up between NJD and Fiala. OT Is scared they wont get fiala so they target JT. 99 point player only making 2.6 mil and i am confident he extends because he wants a permanent home and sees the potential in OTT future. 8x5. giving up formenton and the 8th sucks but to fetch a player like JT thats how it works. doesnt hurt to lose JBD since they have many good d prospects
OTT
  1. Miller, J.T. ($2,625,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Canucks make this trade draft night. they get this pick so they can move up in the draft to get jireck or necec. grtting a RHD if philly or seattle arent willing to move there picks so that they atleast got a young rhd for jt. getting formenton is a great addition to the team too
2.
VAN
OTT
  1. Keeper, Brady
Additional Details:
this trade is nothing just to add more info on jt miller trade.
not getting as much in return for JT but think teams aren’t willing to pay much for JT.
3.
VAN
  1. 2022 1st round pick (PHI)
Additional Details:
PHI does this trade because they want to draft a foward. knowing that VAN wants a RHD means that they are safe from van taking a foward they want. if cbj takes the player they want then they still have 2 excellent options to pick from.
PHI
  1. Woo, Jett
  2. 2022 1st round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Canucks wanting to draft jireck or necec. woo is worth a 3rd and that is the price to move up 2 spots from 7th to 5th.
4.
VAN
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
Additional Details:
Debrusk wanting out and probably wanting to come to a Canadian team. VAN is open for a player like debrusk to come in and help out. if they nake this trade then it makes boston more of a contender then they were with debrusk. hear me out. pearson is a STC winner and with plently if playoff experience. plays a hard game and a underrated 2way game. he puts up points but not as much goals as u expect a 3mil player to score. but if u have pasta marchy on ur team the. i think they will be fine. i also think if pearson is with right lineups then he could put up 50-60 points honestly
BOS
  1. Pearson, Tanner
  2. 2023 5th round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
trading pearson and getting younger with a player like debrusk. 27 goals is very much needed for van lack of goal scoring. adding a 5th so it can go through
5.
VAN
  1. Khudobin, Anton
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (DAL)
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
DAL gets interested in myers. pretty sure myers has some family out in texas.but DAL wants him because they need a top4dman since klingberg left. only making 3mil because van is retaining is very appealing jf i an DAL. a top4dman who plays well defensively and eats minutes. only for 3mil. makes mistakes once in a while but with a good partner it could be a good pairing. there was a whole month were tyler myers was legit our best dman defensively
DAL
  1. Myers, Tyler ($3,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
getting rid of myers contract kind of abd getting picks in return. taking on anton contract so DAL is more interested
6.
VAN
  1. Holl, Justin
Additional Details:
TOR is forced to trade holl because fans hate him sm. not bad return as dickinsion is a shutdown C. found his game at the end of the year.
TOR
  1. Dickinson, Jason
  2. 2022 5th round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
holl is like myers 2.0 only 1 year left on his contract so trading contracts basically but holl has 1 year left. adding 5th because since holl had 25 points

Holl is a functional 3rd pairing defenseman who can PK. At 2 mil aav it's not an unreasonable option for teams and while he's not terribly valuable, he would still be a positive asset. Dickinson is a 4C earning 2.6 mil aav. At that cost(with term) for the 4th line, he is a negative asset. It's an easy pass for the Leafs. Especially since they have a better defensive center who's already playing a bigger role than Dickinson is and doing it for 1 mil aav less.

that sens trade has got to be a joke. 7oa for 1 guaranteed year of miller (noted 29yo, and thus much more likely to go downhill than up, and at least 4 years too old for our core), for a non-playoff team this year (and only a soft maybe for next year)? and then you add a good young roster player and top RD prospect? get lost

edit: and it’ll cost a lot more than a 3rd to move from 7oa to 5oa, even if woo was worth that, which he’s not

a contender, obviously. someone that fits his timeframe of being good. and for a worse package than this even if it was the right team

Huge over pay for Miller, I know he put up points, but his age and the lack of a contract even with the retained salary just does fit with Sens core. Also saigning him to a 8 year deal now would be the same reasons I wouldn;t go after Fiala if I was the Sens those last few years are goign to be a huge albatross of a contract when the rest fo the team needs extensions like Stuzle, Sanderson etc.

Now you want this package of JDB, this year's first 7OA, and a roster player, which i would add Jospeh not Formenton, then the return needs to be Garland or Bosner with an extension agreed on.

TO Van:
JDB
2022 1st (7OA)
Joseph

To OTT:
Garland

Woo is not worth trading from 5 to 7 and Philly wants a RHD as well

That’s even an overpay for Garland imo. He’s a solid 2nd line winger. 7oa alone is too much for him.
