He's never gonna live up to his draft spot but it doesn't hurt Vancouver to add more RD depth. I like this signing for the Canucks.

Despite being drafted in the 1st round because Fenton was an idiot, I recall him actually being projected to be a 3rd round pick so there's still potential to him panning out to be something. Michael Russo summed it up as saying it's not that the Wild didn't see talent, they just thought their scouting staff could find a better player with the 2nd round pick. Good pickup for Vancouver.

Genuinely wish the Habs signed him. RHD are a hot commodity and there's a reason this guy was drafted so early. Long term project, but might end up being a #2RD
