I just don't get any of this Mrazek stuff. Yeah sure, he sucked last year... but he's not a terrible goalie. Put him In front of a team like... hmmm... Carolina that can clear the net and he's fine. His contract isn't fantastic and the Leafs surely can't go back to him. But for the love of God, I bet you there are a few teams that would want maybe a 2nd or a 3rd to take it on. If you ask me, Ritchie was even worse and the Leafs actually got something back.

It will not cost Knies to dump Mrazek. Again, it has been reported from The Athletic and many others, that it's likely a 2nd or a b-level prospect range.

I totally agree with the majority of this, especially the Ritchie point. The only thing I'm starting to consider more and more here is with the changing of the goalie coaches and department, I'm really starting to think they might give him a crack to go through camp and start the season with him, then if he's the same and doesn't change, there's an in-season trade. I don't know why I think that, I'm just really starting to get that vibe from management.

I've seen a much as a 1st to dump his contract (i think too much) so say a second is good, now add a 3rd dos that not upgrade a b level to an A.
