2 crappy prospects to take 2 crappy contracts. Wings pass all day here. Better start thinking about your first coming over for those 2 miserable players and contracts

Detroit declines.

Neither Mrazek nor Holl fill a need in Detroit and would have to be sent to Grand Rapids or bought out. Toronto would have to add quite a bit in order for Yzerman to accept them, maybe if you swapped Holl for Liljegren.

That PHI trade is shocking.

Hollowell is not an NHL prospect and Kase's rights are worth nothing. Robertson is the Leafs best prospect, but looked poor in 9 NHL games last year and his value isnm;t a signed long term 5.5mil, 50+ pt guy (and those 50+ pts were done without a 1C and the 2C, 2LW and Giroux all missed 20+ games).

If he werent the Leafs would keep him. Teams dont dump cheap, well producing players. They dump old, injured, declining or expensive players vs what they produce players.

{sigh} Yet another Jake-Muzzin-back-to-Los-Angeles fantasy. Have we reached the thousandth-time level yet? We're looking for a top-level young LD with term like Jakob Chychrun, Ivan Provorov or Mikhail Sergachev, not an expensive veteran who has a poor injury history, and we don't need stopgaps because there are several cheap UFAs that won't cost us anything to sign or pay. And with that contract, I highly doubt that his value is a second-round draft pick.

I hate to break it to you but he is in fact a maple leaf. So is every player that gets traded bad or is that only maple leafs?

This guy is traded on this site 500 times a day, so don't give me the he's still a leaf talk. I'm staying if he's so valuable and he's cheap at 2M, why wouldn't the leafs just keep him vs trade him 500 times a day? 2M for a serviceable dman is very fair, if he was that good, they wouldn't be trading him on here all day everyday for 2 years

Lol, I have news for you. Cap friendly isn't real life.

The reason I could see Toronto trading him is his value. He will be behind Lilly and Brodie. If leafs could get a 3rd or better and replace him in the 3rd pair with myers and save a million in cap then it makes perfect sense.

If leafs aren't getting proper value for him then it makes zero sense.

Ok then you can keep him or trade him elsewhere, wings aren't helping your cap situation out or taking a player that I'll help them 0%

No not every single player traded, just every single player that cap strapped teams wish to dump to free cap space.

If the Leafs traded Marner he usnt moved cause he is of neg. value. If the Leafs and Leaf fans on this site propose kerfoot, holl or envangalli those are cap dumps plain and simple

Toronto isn't cap strapped. Lol none of those players are cap dumps. Hasn't history proved you wrong enough?

What hx exactly?
That teams dump players and include picks when they wish to clear cap space?
Yes.. that in fact happens all the time

Teams trade players but when Toronto does it is a dump. I have no issue with calling specific players dumps. Zaitsev, marleau, ritchie (who was dumped very cheap) and now Mrazek. Holl, Engvall, kerfoot would all get fair value.

Ok.. why in your opinion do you think in 99% of TML fan generated proposals, those 3 players are traded to teams with the most cap space, if in fact, they're not cap moves?

Mrazek is the only player thats a cap dump. And even that contract isnt THAT bad. He had one horrible year but its not like its that expensive.
