Additional Details:
Why Toronto should acquire Drysdale: JD is from Toronto and is a right shot D man who could potentially be a partner for Rielly for years. He will need to be paid next year but I think with the potential of Muzzin’s contract coming off the books and sending money out with Nylander and Mrazek, they are set up well for available cap space.

Anaheim isn't trading Drysdale. They literally have no reason to without an absolutely skyhigh offer.

Would you have traded Marner or Matthews on their ELC's? No.

Terrible trade for the Ducks, they are rebuilding and will not trade Drysdale.

It might take Nylander, Sandin, and a 1st for Gibson. So Mrazek is getting you Drysdale and Grant?? LOL

From an outside standpoint I feel like that Anaheim deal is close but I feel like one more thing needs to be added from Toronto.. like maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick.. But then again, i highly doubt Anaheim would move Drysdale

I get Anaheim fans like Gibson, but that suggestion is ridiculous. Never has a goalie in NHL history garnered such a return, and Gibson isn't exactly lighting the world on fire lately. IF he gets traded, the return will be substantially less.

Drysdale is untouchable, and even if he wasnt that package does not come close to getting you him and Gibson

He is a number 1 goalie on a good contract, someone is going to have to overpay to get him with the current goaltending market. It is Nylander, a first, and a NHL ready prospect like Sandin or Robertson to get Gibson

I'm a Leafs fan and I am saying it would take this to get him. He likely isn't going to be traded as the Ducks don't have a good goalie prospect and still need to win some games in this rebuild. There are going to be a ton of Gibson to the Leafs rumors for a while

That's a proper offer for Gibson. What Drysdale has to do with it is anyone's guess.

Gibson has had a 905 svp the last 3 seasons and has a cap hit of 6,5 million he’s worth a first at most

You think Nylander, Sandin and your 2022 first would get you Andrei Vasilevskiy?!?!?

Well, now we all know how seriously to treat your player evaluations in the future.

Show me another goalie trade where a guy outside the top 10 in every measurable metric, with an inflated contract that is projected to give negative value, is worth that package. I would love to see it, especially in the flat cap world. I have no idea if the Ducks will trade him, or if the Leafs will want him, but the idea that is the package is insane.

Yep take it completely literal, not in the essence of comparing him to an elite goalie. Cory Schnieder was traded for 9th OA and he had a career .930% and you guys think Gibson, with 3 down years in a row, with an extremely risky contract of 5 x 6.4mil, who has been just around .900% during that time will net you all of that? Keep dreaming

Anaheim declines easily.

Drysdale is an untouchable, and a Gibson trade would be for futures, not a vet who will leave in two years, and a bad contract in Mrazek.
