I'd absolutely do this from the Rangers perspective

I'd do this for sure. I'd even try to move up in the draft and get a center as we are essentially desperate at this point.

Strome won't accept. He wants 5mil AAV/long-term deal and Motte I think can be cheaper for longer-term deal but I like it

Where on earth do you get off thinking Edmonton is in the market to take cap dumps??

I think it's more about their desperation for a goalie + relative need for D

That doesn't compute. They already have 2 better goalies signed for next year, why would they pay anything for Georgiev? And their defense took them to the final 4 this year even though their #1 guy was playing through a core muscle injury. What attraction is Rangers #7 defenseman?

Neither argument holds any water. It's a stupid trade that no contender would make.

If you espouse terrible ideas in public you're going to be challenged. If you don't like it, learn from it.

I understand and am willing to accept criticism. If you had allowed for a conversation, I was going to say that's a good point about the defense, I just think the D depth is thin and I'm not so sure it's sustainable. Adding a potential top 4 D and a bottom pair veteran D could be worth a look.

On the other hand, the goaltending situation is terrible with Smith and Koskinen gone and although Georgiev had a bad year as a backup, I would bet on him as a starter over the scraps Edmonton has in the system.

What I won't accept however is being disrespected. If you're going to tell me what I need to learn, then you should learn how to properly communicate criticism without coming off like you're having a temper tantrum. It's embarrassing.

Your opinions on Edmonton's players are terribly ill informed. You should be embarrassed that you're making statements in public about things you know nothing about.

Have a great day.

You're getting angry at someone for having an opinion on a hockey forum. Someone who just admitted you made a valid point about hockey and explained their reasoning for their opinion which - get this - is okay for you to disagree with.

Hope you find some happiness today.
