I'd rather go for Samsonov, Varlamov seems too risky to me, he makes more than Koski did and Varly is a back up status goalie too

The Isles do not want Barrie. The Isles are set at RD.

I don't think the rumor of Strome not being qualified is true, he had 22 goals and 48 points this past season so I don't think they lose him for nothing. The qualifying offer is worth it for the hawks, and if they want to trade him, I'm fine with that too. Borgstrom trade is declined, it doesn't make sense for the hawks, and I think if the hawks change the way they use him, he could be good for them next season.

Varly for Puljujarvi perhaps if he reconsiders. Other than that I don't think the Isles want to take back salary unless it's a useful player. Would be just as happy taking a late 1st and flipping it

Sorokin is a top 3 goalie in the league. Varly is not a “backup status goalie.”

Puljujvari is a poor man’s Wahlstrom. I hate his game.

I blame James Nichols for the Barrie rumors. Dude put NYI in his Twitter handle, but that doesn’t make him an expert. This offer doesn’t fill a need for the Isles and hurts their cap situation. Even more than that the value is not remotely close to fair.
