Canes pass - Zadina doesn’t fit in CAR. If Necas is being moved it’s part of an upgrade package.

This doesn't work. Zadina is a downgrade from Necas. He's going to be used in a package for someone like Cat.

I like the idea of Puljujarvi for Nedeljkovic! I personally would want Nedeljkovic to have a reasonable extension in place, and I would want you to take one of Kassian, or Barrie for cap reasons. No picks going either way, and it may work! Nice idea!

Just not the right kinda package for necas. I think Carolina needs a win now kinda piece and zadina just doesnt have much value. The Edmonton trade is interesting if they can get husso or maybe Campbell to sign here which is kind of a longshot.

Iwould look at doing this. Ned had a down year but has a great chance of bouncing back. as for the picks EDM is moving down like 10-12 spots to dump kassian Oilers do that in a heart beat.
you wouldnt swap barrie as you can still trade him to another team for a positive return.

My bad. I didn’t look close enough at the second. I didn’t think it was Detroits pick. I would like it if there was an extension in place for Nedeljkovic, because I too think he would bounce back in Edmonton. However, knowing it’s Detroits pick, I would also do it.

My bad, I apologize. I guess I need to look closer haha.

Lambert will probably be available at 8OA, but I doubt he will be ready to slot into the lineup at all, let alone as a 3C. More likely at 3RW, but still not very likely. Just keep Suter and bump him down to 3C, at least until the deadline when we might be able to get a better return anyway.

The order of events in the Ned trade would make me really nervous. While I would be fine with Husso and Hellberg going into preseason, the fact that we are making a trade of our only NHL caliber goalie before the draft and hoping to land two NHL goalies later would make me very nervous. I like the trade only in hindsight, a week later when we sign Husso. I like upgrading picks and JP. I would probably even be fine with not buying out Kassian and using him sparingly.
