MN declines. Brodin has a NMC and even if they decided to move him, it’d be for something massive. The Wild love Brodin.

The values are just not there on these trades

-#5, a decent prospect, and Sanheim is a start but I feel like Chicago can ask for a king's ransom for a perennial 35-40 goal scorer that can still fit into their rebuild timeline.

-Ferraro is a solid middle pair LD with some room to grow still. JVR is a pending UFA with a $7M cap hit. No deal from the Sharks - you're better off holding JVR through the deadline, hoping he can still show the 20-25 goal form he showed this year, and move him out for futures at the deadline.

-Minnesota just needs to shed as much cap as possible, and this deal wouldn't do that. Even if they were open to moving Brodin, I can't see them doing it for a prospect whose ceiling is becoming a top 4 LD, a 33 year old winger making $5.875M, and a 3rd. Just doesn't cut it here.

-Harley's basically a slightly better prospect than Cam York - Laughton is a decent middle 6 grinder with some scoring pop. Would you trade Cam York straight up for Sean Kuraly? Because if the answer is no, you'll understand why Dallas would pass here too.
