Most I'd want to give out for Muzzin is a 4th, and that's only if Carson Soucy/Mike Reilly/Vince Dunn/Gustav Forsling/Travis Sanheim/Alec Martinez/Dmitry Kulikov (am I forgetting anyone?) are all out of the running to be LD2.

I strongly believe Muzzin doesn't waive, though.

I wouldn’t want Martinez either

Most I am willing to give you for Muzzin is Richard Panik. But I also want a prospect and a pick to take him.

I'll put it this way: if the choice is between giving up a 4th/5th for Jake Muzzin or running back Chara/Greene as LD2 this year, I'll gladly give up the pick. But that's one of the only scenarios I can imagine that happening and I would hope there is a very good reason for it getting down to that!

I listed them in order of likelihood/personal desire. Maybe throw Kulikov a few spots up because that cap hit is very affordable. But you get my gist, I'm sure.

Sorry that first sentence is like staring into the sun. They could certainly retain on him and try to move him for something small. Right now I'd say it's 50/50 whether they qualify him or not.

It's just a double negative lol. I don't understand how a two time 20 goal scoring rfa at 24 years of age has little to no value and could walk for free. Maybe they should just re-sign him and let him get another 20 goal and 40-50 point season before trying to trade him.

I would rather play 13 forwards and 5 defenseman than have Muzzin, Greene or Chara on the roster.

Hear me out. Chicago keeps Strome or trades him with DeBrincat in a huge trade which will change the course of the franchise.

Well yeah, that's the obvious better option, but also the least realistic. I want them to trade Strome, but people saying he's walking for free is dumb.

this feels like a way to bring back Leo from Russia as the Lucky 13th forward

DeBrincat on his own is worth a lot. Getting Dylan Strome too is a huge bonus.

1 time 20 goal scorer and it was last season. He certainly isn't driving play for those points either. He is slow and sometimes looks lost out there. Was a healthy scratch I believe in the first part of the season. Did not look good.

His QO is 3.6m and it seems hawks don't like him at that price tag.

With the amount a team has to give up to get DeBrincat and then pay him, I don't think they'll want to give up something else for Strome and then pay him too. People forget the hawks don't WANT to trade DeBrincat, they're just listening the same way they did with Hagel. Unless the offer is crazy they aren't trading him.

He was a 20 goal scorer total between Arizona and Chicago the year he was traded. The early scratches and seeming slow is why they should hang on to him one more season as a prove it season. They should have more than enough cap space to keep him at least one more season.

I'm not saying the idea is right or wrong. Just that it's what's floating around out there. It could be issues we aren't aware of... or it could be all bull****.
