There is always the possibility Lundqvist makes the team as LD or Schneider moves to LD and Nils plays RD. Drury isn't giving him away just because Schneider passed him on the depth chart this season. If he gets traded, my bet would be as part of a package deal for a top-6 forward.

I think Montreal would be willing to trade Mailloux, especially if they could package their Calgary pick at 26, Mailloux plus whatever else necessary in order to get to the Sharks’ spot in the draft

Why would these be targets at all? We arent losing Karlsson.

Also dont take Mallioux, doing that is just asking for trouble

the 26th and Mailoux for the 11th? that's a lot to think about, maybe add a 3rd coming back to the sharks and i would be OK with it.
            thanks!

He made one bonehead mistake. how many of us talked about sex and who we were hooking up with in the locker room as kids?
yes what he did was wrong but i think giving up on him for 1 mistake is foolish. he has shown remorse, and has been willing to do whatever it takes to get past this and i am wiling to overlook the incident personally.

that's a tall order, he was taken at the end of the 1st last year and has baggage. i was thinking a 2nd.

He was available at 32 only because of the baggage and in the few games he did play this year he showed He's got a top D potential so yes a 1st is the price but more likely if he gets dealt it's in a package

that might be too much for me if i was the GM, Mintyukov and Korchinski are pretty solid top 4 guys with high ceilings and the sharks should pick one of those two at 11th
I was hoping more for like Robins or Gushin plus a pick for Mailoux. but i can understand having a higher value on him.

Even before the incident he was projected 15-31. and i posted this because i like his size and ability so in not trying to belittle the guy just gauging value.

I understand, habs will likely keep him for now since he was injured and didn't play much... he has a very high potential and they will either be patient with him or trade him plus the 33rd or 26th pick to move up substantially

he was convicted of the crime and forced to pay a fine.
and again in a locker room kids say and do stupid things to impress their teammates, I want to give the kid a pass cause I've been in a locker room and saw way worse from teammates.
not saying what he did wasn't wrong.. but i can understand that this one incident doesn't make him a bad guy.
I mean seriously there is a website created that is nothing but pictures and videos of guys ex GF.

I understand, habs will likely keep him for now since he was injured and didn't play much... he has a very high potential and they will either be patient with him or trade him plus the 33rd or 26th pick to move up substantially

if this draft didn't fall off as much after the top 15 I would do that deal, but then maybe Montreal wouldn't so it's not that i don't think it isn't fair.. just not certain it's the right move.

I know this is an AGM, but the Sharks reportedly had Mallioux blacklisted from their draft list

            I’d say something like a 3rd + 4th, or a prospect equivalent to that

As a spokesman for habs fans on capfriendly.com i would like to let you know that we are open to deal him, the cost to aquire mailloux is a 1st round pick.

He was available at 32 only because of the baggage and in the few games he did play this year he showed He's got a top D potential so yes a 1st is the price but more likely if he gets dealt it's in a package

He still has his baggage regardless of the couple good games he had. Zero teams will give a 1st for him. Oh and standing up for a kid like that isn’t a good look.

What about a Dahlen for Lundqvist trade?

I’m sure your right. but if I was GM I wouldn’t have.
I also would have waited and taken him in the 2nd round though.

anyone who spent time in a locker room has seen a picture of their friends/ teammates doing some questionable things with girls. it’s not ok but it happens. and i would give him a 2nd chance over a guy like Merkley who was picked with attitude issues!

Like i said, IF he gets moved it's likely plus one of the 33rd or 26th pick to move up into the top 10 or with the 33rd top 15
