Verbeek is a Devils sleeper cell, waiting to be activated.

He will obey the motherland (Jersey)

Personally, from an outside perspective, I'd go for 2OA if I was MTL if it could be Calgary's 1st, Caufield, and a prospect/pick other than Guhle/MTL's 2023 1st.
Caufield is a great player, but there's multiple ways to build a championship contender, and I'd probably want Cooley over Caufield.

Apparently, you haven't been following the latest developments in the false Gibson saga.

As long as Anaheim agrees to the “+” here since we’d be flipping it for Gibson

(Could probably add a piece or two too).

Caufield is better in every aspect than Cooley.

No
But if it involves fake Gibson to NJ rumors, I am willing to believe

I wouldn't trade Caufield alone for 2nd overall, let alone him + guhle + 26th overall
Why in hell would habs do this?
The whole point of getting Slafkovsky is so that he can play with Suzuki and caufield
You ignore the purpose of it!

Wright, Suzuki, Cooley
No depth on the wings
What a terrible idea
Not to mention caufield has 50 goal potential

Gibson stated last night that he never asked for a trade, he doesn't want to be traded, and he wants to spend his entire career in Anaheim.

Since his contract isn't up for renewal, I'll take him at his word.

3. Shooting from slot
4. Shooting accuracy

That's only if you think Wright is better than Slafkovsky.
But also, centers can slide over and play wing easier than wings can slide over to center. Shouldn't be an issue if you had Wright, Cooley, and Suzuki,

50 goals is a lot of goals. But there's plenty more that goes into winning than having a 50-goal scorer.

Maybe Habs fans haven’t been studying Devils wants and needs.

t starts with Anderson, Armia, Byron, Drouin, Gallagher, Hoffman (hang on, I’m only on “H”)…

Basically all the winger depth Habs fans have been selling us on for weeks.

There is just no way Montreal can come up with a package that New Jersey likes outside of caufield and suzuki so can we stop seeing all these proposals for 2OA already?

When was the last time a team traded 3 1st round picks for 1? You realize that has NEVER happened right?! The last time (2003) someone traded for 1st it was the Pens and that only cost them the 3rd pick + a 2nd + Mikael Samuelsson. To put into perspective what 3rd is worth you have to go back to 1999 the Canucks traded Bryan McCabe + 11th for the 4th pick. Then they flipped the 4th + 2 3rd rounders to the lightening for 1st OVA. So how does that add up to Caufield + Guhle + 26th? That is more like Montreal trading 26th + 33rd for 15th then 15th + Norlinder for 4th then 4th + 2 3rd rounders for 2nd.

Fans on this site need to do some basic research into the history of trading for top picks before they post ridiculous things like this.

1. None of those are in cap era
