The Rangers need those second round picks more than they need Dillon thats for sure, surprised you broke the Jets capfriendly norm of asking for an arm and a leg for mark schiefele with 0 retention, kudos to you.

Might need a younger stastny type, possibly gamble on domi, maybe gamble on strome to add a little something to that top 9

That rangers trade was supposed to be really any team. Forgot to write it.

I’m not in favour of trading schiefele now. The dude will be a monster with the right coach. After that, maybe move him if he’s unwilling to sign and we have young centres who can step in.

Honestly, there’s more rangers fans thinking they’ll get schiefele for basically nothing of value to the jets than jets fans actually trading scheifele.

That is true, Schiefele should be an asset on here that isn’t mocked to the rangers constantly, each side is not happy with returns and it’s just not gonna work.

Which Strome for 3rd line? I think Dylan would come cheaper than Ryan.

Why on earth would the Jets have to retain on any Scheifele trade? lmao

For what they’re asking you’d figure there would some slight retention, even if it’s just 1 million.

Many Rangers don't want Scheifele period. Jet fans call him a locker room cancer and almost everyone admits he doesn't play D at all, so his PPG means nothing. Can't win a cup with a top 6 center like that.

Regardless of what the fans think of him and his attitude etc (and at this point I don't even think he gets traded), hes a point per game player on a super team friendly contract. If you don't think GMs would be tripping over themselves to trade for that, Idk what to tell you. People with way worse "character issues" get traded or signed all the time. Almost every team in the league can afford this contract, so I'm not sure how or why retention would be an issue here. However, whenever stars get traded, the value coming back will almost always be not enough, as history has shown...so you are right about that likely.

“Can’t win a cup”. During every playoffs that scheifele has played, he’s our MVP. The dude is a different beast in the playoffs.

The playoffs also proves one more thing about schiefele. It’s not that scheifele can’t play d, it’s that he doesn’t in the regular season. That’s a coaching issue in my opinion that can be fixed easily. Scheifele knows he will get the best chances no matter what effort he gives under old coaches. Hopefully that changes now.

A couple of benchings will do it

As I mentioned earlier, I don’t want to trade schiefele unless he forces us to. You can’t replace a guy like that, for sure in the short term, but it will be hard in the long term too.

Great, please let your fellow Jet fans know this so they can stop with the ridicules trades to the Rangers. You want to keep him, we don't want him, so everyone should be happy.

I do not represent all jets fans. Neither does any single jets fan represent me. I’m not here telling you to stop NYR fans from lowballing schiefele in every AGM.

I told you my take, that should be enough.

No, the Jet's don't need more than one Pionk, maybe two, depending on who they have at LD

95% of the moronic Schiefele trades are posted by Jets fans that just can't seem to wait to get rid of him. Wonder why?

Last time I checked, none of JP, Samurukov, or the 1st are nhl ld. Also, moving pionk would leave our right side as just demelo basically. So again, this does more harm than good. Jets decline. We can’t afford to move pionk
