Idk, but if he had to stake his reputation on the majority of these guys getting moved, Bratt would not be on this list. Most of the names make sense, but there are a couple that just don’t (typically the higher end guys that get used in the titles of articles like this one are iffy at best I find). Pieces like this tend to be more to drive engagement tbh. And they’re good at doing that, and worth discussing still because it’s fun, but there’s no logical reason for Bratt to even be considered on the trade market. At least for guys like DeBrincat you can say they shouldn’t be moved but there’s a reasonable scenario where it happens.

I mean it would be pretty easy to predict who gets traded at the TDL.

Also Seravalli's words was more wild speculation than actual reasoning. He said "He would seem to be everything the Devils want and need moving forward...We saw a talented player like Pavel Buchnevich moved for salary reasons last summers. Could Bratt follow?"

If Devils want and need Bratt, why would they trade him when they have zero cap problems

Tennessee has no state income tax and Nashville is one of the fastest growing big cities in America w/ a huge influx of wealth from the Northeast. These new residents are paying fraction of the property taxes they paid in NY, NJ, and CT - highest taxes in the country. That's generally a good recipe for a sports franchise. The fact that the city gov't is badly in debt doesn't have much effect on private business, which is booming. Although, funding a new stadium could be challenging. Oakland, on the other hand, has been dying a slow death for years. NSH is also one of the most desirable places to live while Oakland is a dump. That's why the Raiders left for Vegas. It's probably only a matter of time before NSH gets another sports team.

To me thats fine as you are in a sense upgrading from a 25 goal scorer to a 41 goal scorer

I don’t think Chicago would want Bratt as the main piece in the trade because they want to tank. Chicago would probably want their 2022 1st or one of Holtz/Mercer in addition to Bratt and at that point it isn’t worth it for the devils

What do you expect Bratt to say? Literally every player is going to be bias for the team they play for. You can ask players on 31 different teams and they will all say they have the best, loudest fans in the NHL. Nobody is going to say the truth when it hurts them.

I don’t think Devils will trade him though. But it would be kinda funny to see Patrik Allvin fleece Fitzgerald and trade Boeser for Bratt 1 for 1 lol.

I really don't think Malkin would immediately sign with the Pens rival's after playing there for 15 years
