I'd wager they're waiting to create some cap room before announcing the signing until moving McDonagh or Killorn.

They'll lose value on them as teams know they'd be over the cap after the signing.

I’m leaving the week of the draft for PEI. Safe to say though I’m probably going to be glued on my phone, we’re going for the cavendish beach festival, but me and my dad will listen to the music from the camping ground (since it’s right next door).

Love it. The AAV gives them a reasonable shot at re-signing Palat & Rutta (assuming they trade Killorn or McDonagh), and Paul's only 27 (which is to say he'll be 34 by the time this deal is up). Lightning can cross this one off the offseason checklist with gusto.

I have a feeling SJ has narrowed their GM search and their finalists (down to two or even they have the one guy) believed Boughner needed to go (tough for Bob but I agree with the train of thought that is similar to Yzerman word) - I’m calling it as Brunette tbh.

I bet depth players are now praying to be traded to Tampa after seeing what Coleman, Goodrow and Paul got. Crazy what a deep run can do to a role player's next contract.

When Crosby and this core falls off in 3-4 years this team is gonna be bad, like real bad, for quite some time.
Having an overpaid, washed up Letang wouldn’t matter for a team who’s tanking for the first time in 20 years.

supposedly the Pens and Letang arent that far off - they may still let him walk but Elliotte said they are actually on the same page
