To be honest, I didn't see the Sens bringing him back but still not bad @ 950k. No complaints.

Dylan Gambrell's qualifying offer was 1.1 million.

He decided to sign at 950K instead with the team that might have given him that qualifying offer.

That means it's a good signing.

Solid signing. If he doesn't workout come training camp and make the team this contract can be simply placed through waivers and be on the farm for a call up down the road.

Oh yeah I like it! Got to start somewhere in Ottawa.

Get wanting a guy to push a young C like Mark Kastelic to earn his 4C role, but there's really no reason for it to be him. He brings nothing to the table. It's not a big deal but Adam Gaudette is wildly better for that role.

Good signing for the 4th line. no risk.
Guadette is not a better fit, he isnt great in faceoffs, and not great defensively- not to mention his questionable work ethic and attitude.

I mean the Kelly, Gambrell, Watson line was very very good down the stretch with D.J. Smith even calling them their best line at some point. I think it's a fine option for a centerman that you can plutone with Kastelic and Gaudette to form a pretty formidable bottom 4 center.

Neither should be regulars in the lineup, but Gaudette at least has some amount of skill if he has to plug in for injury reasons. Gambell is a nothing player

The meh-est of meh players, but for less than his 1.1M QO, this is good deal of business for the Sens.

Gambrell is a fringe serviceable fourth liner that can play many roles well, at an NHL level, consistently. Gaudette is inconsistent, has sparks of brilliance, and isn't that good defensively.
