Sure, then we'll trade Muzzin, 1st and a 5th for Ehlers!

The absolute worst, and a Canes fan (or maybe troll) has already commented they would ‘gladly accept that offer’. Give me a break.

So you wouldn’t trade for a PPG player who isn’t much more than 6M if all it took to get him was a contract that’s not looking good and two second round picks?

If anything it’s terrible for the Jets and there’s no way they’d do that anyways.

Absolutely nintendofan . . . Jets wouldn't do that. The only thing more rediculous than the 6.1 million offer-sheet given KK last summer was the 4.8 x 8 year extension they gave him. Right now, Kotkaniemi appears to be a grossly overpaid 3rd liner. Say whatever you want about Scheifele's character and on-ice warts, he's a first-line center. Take him or leave him . . . whatever. But that deal doesn't get it done!

Does that make you feel good about yourself? Seems like you could make the same claim about Scheifele.

You know what, you're right . . . might have been uncalled for. I actually don't mind KK, just think he's overvalued . . . and honestly, you seem to be front-runner in that department, no offense. But I'd like to point out that you calling a fellow Canes fan a troll for an opinion different than your own could have been a little less blunt, also!

As far as Scheifele, I have no doubt that if he were to be traded right now it would be at his lowest value. His stock for me (as a Jets fan!) has been on steady decline ever since his hit on Evans last playoff and how he responded in the media. I'll say it, again, though---in the context of the trade proposed above---in a purely "on-ice" hockey vacuum, mindful of the cap values as well, THAT return for a 1st line center is insufficient. If Carolina doesn't want him based on what's been reported of his character, fine . . . . I get it. But as far as ACGMing goes, Carolina DOES seem like a team that doesn't mind rolling the dice on players in spite of their reputation! (see DeAngelo) Just saying!
