      Kuemper would certainly solve your goaltending problem, whether or not Smith retires. Excellent add.

      Interesting that you have Yamamoto being given more than Puljujarvi, but the difference in term might be the explanation.

      Kuemper's only real concern for me is his injury history but overall I think he would add major stability to the position.

      The difference in Yam & JP's deals comes down to two factors: 1) contract length as you noted & 2) the playoff run seemed to benefit Yams value / role on the team.

      May as well in this case; nothing about Barrie strikes me as KA's intended kind of target. The last thing we need is another PP QB/Offensive Dman with below average defensive play.
