Miller traded to TOR

Created by: alwaysnextyear
Team: 2022-23 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 15, 2022
Published: Jun. 15, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This deal only makes sense for VAN if Hughes (or OEL) moves over to the right side. But IMO Hughes can play anywhere with ease.

Another fair trade for Miller. Again, Muzzin is questionable for either side to be willing to move. I'm sure there would be some VAN fans that would prefer another prospect rather than Kerfoot.

Since when is Kerfoot a prospect? He's played almost 400 NHL games lol.

I said a prospect rather than Kerfoot. That means instead.

Oh, I see what you meant now. That's my bad. I'm not sure who they would want though. Maybe Vancouver sweetens the deal and then can get Robertson?

It could be Robertson, but if Vancouver still wants to be a playoff contender, I'd rather have Kerfoot. He's actually a good player. He can drive with speed, has fine scoring and can play the PK. He isn't used on the PP, but I can see his skills translating to that. I have my doubts of Robertson. Good flash, hasn't been given the opportunity but something says, meh.

Replace Muzzin with either Liljegren or a prospect. If the Leafs don’t wanna give up both Niemela and Liljegren I’d rather have Liljegren

I think the leafs would accept, but im not sure Muzzin would waive his NTC.

I suggested Sandin, Kerf, 1st, 2nd & 3rd - was shredded by canucks fans for it being way too little. 2nd, 3rd and sandin surely have same value if not more than Niemela.

Appreciate the realistic trade! apart, from muzzin who won't move his ntc for Van.

Framework is there.

Canucks don't want Muzzin as their left side is already stacked and expensive and it would be better for Hughes to play the left side. The Canucks also would probably push for Liljegren and a 2023 first rather than Niemala and the 2022 1st but that's not that big of a deal. Overall this is a solid framework for a Miller trade. Nice job

That trade does nothing for VAN.
