Probably more realistic to bury Nemeth and non-tender Georgiev, tbh. Just my opinion, but Georgiev isn't really worth his QO, which in turn doesn't add value to dumping Nemeth.

Georgiev's QO isn't cheap- but in the right 1A/1B goalie tandem situation for a team which has the CAP space, his QO is not obscene...and might even be a bargain. The only problem with his QO is that if the NYR tender it- and he accepts- a major cramp is put into NYR CAP management this summer. But if (as rumor has it) several teams are interested in him then it would be their better interest to work out a deal with NYR...rather than wait for a non-tender. The result here could drive up the UFA price (of course if in fact several teams are interested).

So my guess is if a few teams are interested- a deal is worked out...and that team then extends Georgiev on a 2 year deal...which may be higher or lower than his QO.

I agree with the idea needing someone who can win some draws. I think Sheahan is a good idea, but that price tag is a lot for a buy who’s a 4th liner
