Can get more for Petry, Anderson and Edmonson.

Also don't know how giving up youthful assets for Fiala is sticking with the rebuild

Wild can't afford Dvorak and it seems weird to trade a first if you're "staying with the rebuild".

Anderson and edmundson I agree, petry ya no he’s getting close to being a cap dump he’s clearly declining and his contract isn’t that favourable to whoever takes it

Tell me you didn't watch any Habs games after December without telling me you didn't watch any Habs game after December

Petry had his worst season by a mile since he first came to montreal.

-his Point Shares this year was 3.6 last time it was below 5.5 was in 2015-16
- his corsi in all situations was at 47.9% last time it was below 52% was in 2014-15 as goes his Fenwick/ Petry hasn't had a negative Corsi against competition since 2014-15 this year it was a -4.7
- his xGF this year was 53.2 and His xGA was 56.1 meaning he was a -2.9 in that category last time he was below a +4 was in 2014-15 when he had a -17.3

It doesn't matter if he had a few decent months of hockey he still had analytically and statistically his worst season since he played in edmonton 8 seasons ago, and with weber gone Petry was expected to take on a bigger role and help lead and carry that defence but he didn't. Now maybe if he was 25-26 and this season happened that would be okay montreal was terrible but he is 34 turning 35 next december and is already showing clear signs of regression.
Montreal won't be getting no big haul for petry like they expect to. his contract takes him till he is 37-38 no team will be paying a premium for an aging, declining dman especially at 6.25 mill.

Literally all those stats before December were significantly worst. This is what's a tale of two players, do GMs believe he is the player that started the season or do they believe he is going to be the player they saw at the end.

And I don't think it will be a big haul, if it was Petry a year ago they're looking at a high pick plus a good prospect. His value to me would be a late first and a mid level prospect.
