Damn just a third for texier. Sign Boston up for giving a 2nd.
His speed and shot would go so nicely centering hall and pasta

Asking price for texier is a first plus. So just a bit off on that one. Gus half retained gets a 2nd minimum. Maybe a late first at the deadline if a third goes the other way

You can always tell when a non-CBJ fan takes a run at a CBJ acgm. The lineup looks all screwy, valuable players get traded for nothing, Bemstrom is back in the lineup, Blankenburg isn't in the lineup and Marchenko is always left in the minors.

- At this point, Bemstrom is more likely traded/ out of the NHL than he is a multi-year deal, even at that price;

- Four years takes Boqvist to UFA; he's getting three years or less, or a max 7-8;

- Too little money and term for Laine;

- Stenlund - See, Bemstrom;

I support him and/or Chinny in the minors. Even if just to start the season. Chinny in particular had too many stretches where the NA game seemed to swallow him.

Ottawa doesn't really have a spot for Texier but at that price you take it and figure it out after

Yep, I see Chinny starting in the minors too. I think Marchenko is going to come in and be a solid addition right out of the gate though. He's older than Chinakhov, produced better in the KHL and was already playing on NHL sized ice. They couldn't even stop him from producing when they were messing with his icetime in the KHL. He will have to have something go horribly wrong to not get into the starting lineup imo.

Jarmo's bottom line asking price for Texier is a first rounder, at least that's what it was reported to be when he was shopping last year. If Texier does get moved it will be for a first plus another asset when the bidding starts. The kid played lights out for France this year and was on pace for 45+ point year as a 22 year old.

If he is moved and a pick isn't the main piece coming back, I would assume it would be a young, top four, right handed d-man or a big piece of a trade for a guy like Chychrun.

He wasn't even being shopped, per se. We just know a good number of teams were asking...

Example:

Assuming he is being looked at as a first/second line center at 22, he's absolutely going to be a first rounder + whatever Jarmo wants.
