Thoughts?

I can see why the Sabres would have interest in Tanev and why the Canucks would want Reinhart. I don't know if Canucks management has given up on Virtanen yet, though, and i can't really see why they'd be giving up a draft pick when, as a hypothetically rebuilding team, they probably need those draft picks.

Rebuilding teams shouldn't really be trading away draft picks but when you are acquiring a guy like reinhart, it's really worth it.

I can't see the Sabres trading young and good Reinhart.

How is it not possible?

The 2017 draft is held June 23rd & 24th 2017. The 2017-18 season won't be over until April of 2018. Time travel isn't real.
