A bit different

Description
The two ideas I got!

1. If Nashville and Forsberg cant come to an agreement, should Detroit consider sacrificing Vrana, capspace and age to get a better player and a high pick? Would this trade make any sense? Im torn regarding Nashville due to their team structure. Should they go into a rebuild If Forsberg leaves or should they keep retooling on the fly like they to right now? What do yall think?

2. Kappo Kakko leaving NYR is a high possibility. Could a potential change of scenery type trade work between NYR and DRW with Zadina and Kakko as the center pieces? I think so. Zadina has had a worse point output, but on a very much weaker side. They are both Top 8 picks from the years 2018/2019. Detroit would be the team to add. Could this be a thing.

3. Signing Copp makes sence. Hes a versitile forward that can score and defend. He plays all the three forward positions and can play up and down the lineup and plays good in all situations. He is a Michigan boy and at the perfect age to come in as a vet and be around for a long time without becoming an albatroz of a contract before it runs out.

The forwardcore with in him included could look something like this in 2024/2025.

Bert-Larks-Ray
Forsberg-Nazar-Kakko
Copp-Nazar-Berggren
Smith-Veleno-Soderblom
(Stephens, Smith)

On defence we’d have:
Edvinsson-Seider
Pettersson-Hronek
Johansson-Lindstrom
Wallinder

In net: Ned and a random backup

It would not be to hard to keep this team together. Stevie has solved the earlier cap problems with perfection. And the current players have value so they Will net us some positive returns If/when the other prospect enter the league and forces Stevie to cut some guys.

The rest is just what u see on every Detroit ACGM.

I'd never gamble with such an important piece like vrana for a ufa rights. If yoh can't sign that guy you're screwed. The value at this point is probably close but I think they keep kakko.

No way are we giving up Vrana for Filip Forsbergs UFA rights, Way too risky in case they can't come to an agreement. You're looking at $9,000,000 x 7 years to sign Forsberg can't see a rebuilding team like Detroit surrendering that kind of money

I'm all for both Copp and Forsberg but doubt Yzerman spends the money on both.

I'm all for drafting Frank Nazar but he won't be playing for Detroit right away when he's already committed to the University of Michigan for the next 1-2 years.

It's an easy Rangers decline.

UFA rights are virtually meaningless. That trade is silly.

Rangers trade is a good concept but Rangers say no. Might as well just offer sheet him (which they won't)

as a ranger fan you dont want that Copp contract. He was good when he first came really just finishing Panarin dimes but he was terrible down the stretch. Slow as hell too

Pettersson for 4th, 7th

The Penguins would get a 2nd from Detroit for Pettersson.

I'm curious, what makes Pettersson worth a second in your opinion?
