To help Dallas win a cup? No one is winning with Jamie Benn making 9M

Both teams would do it to try and win the Stanley cup - thats why all trades are made I think ~~ sarcasm. BUT, idk.. bruins have a history of going for big names. Think they try hard to prove to fans they want to win, idk. As a non-bruins fan myself, I think I would. root for the bruins here to see Pasta, Benn, Coyle, and Foligno win. Think Benn would sell a lot of tickets too

Right... but one team is getting a 50 point player whos bad defensively and super slow making $9.5M for the next 3 years... how is that helping anyone win?

Unless they can lower his cap hit I can't see it. Just not enough bang for your buck.

Wings decline. We have no use for Mike Reilly. I don't even think I'd trade a 6th rounder for him, so we'll keep our 2nd.

Shark aren’t giving up the better player with retention plus a pick for a 3rd/4th liner. That’s just dumb

1. A multi year deal for bergeron is not a thing.
2. That dallas deal is the single most self destructive trade I’ve seen on here. That’s just horrid for boston. It’s “fire everyone, institutional failure,” terrible.

Don’t. At least not with anything involving boston shipping out valuable players for Jamie benn.

I doubt Benn is going anywhere. A first is pretty steep for three million retained
