Doesn't make sense for the Lightning to put themselves on the hook with Boeser's QO

I don't mind the Vegas trade

Selling pretty low on Miller in the Bruins trade

Panthers trade is horrific for the Canucks, Pearson and Rathbone both have positive value, while Hornqvist arguably doesn't

Vegas declines, the trade doesn’t fit the Knights positional needs at all, and barely clears cap space.

Vegas needs a shakeup in general. I'd say as long as the valuation is reasonable, they should listen to anything

Dickinson would be the only one to make the starting lineup. We don’t need or want another RD or G.

Well, they're trading away a goalie and a defender to receive one of each in return

Brossoit has ben replaced by Thompson, Chayka is a AHL player, Dadanov is a winger, Kolesar is a winger and Patrick is a center/winger.

Vegas has an excess amount of defensemen in the AHL that won't make the roster.

Chayka is still a defender, so the Golden Knights ARE moving at least one defender out of their supposedly "crowded" back end

Oh really? Find one other instance of a young top four d man with term getting traded for a rental. Just one.

The fact that Brandon Carlo isn't a top pair defender is all that needs to be said

No it isn’t. I don’t know what you mean by that.

Miller is a top 10 scorer, and you're trying to argue that a 2nd pair defender is more valuable than him. That's hilarious

No. Why don’t you run on back and read what i said.

Find one instance of an expiring contract returning a young top four d man with term. Just find one instance of it happening in this century.

Can you really not understand the logic behind why it doesn’t happen? Its really obvious.

Carlo isn't THAT young anymore, he's basically at the beginning of his prime, no more untapped upside. Just because there isn't a similar trade comp doesn't mean it isn't possible to gage the valuation

You're grasping at straws

I’m grasping of straws? You’re looking at something that’s never happened, and saying, “nope. Not enough.”

Can you really not understand why young top four d men with term don’t go in trades for expiring contracts? If you don’t get that a. It does not happen, and b. Why it doesn’t happen, I’m not sure there’s any help to be given here.

Yes you're right, I am, that doesn't mean I'm going to get tricked into believing that a fleecing of a trade is actually fair value. There is a difference between top pairing and 2nd pairing defenseman in regard to the valuation, not sure why you're overlooking that

Because it doesn’t matter. Neither has ever gone for an expiring contract. Young top four d men with term do not get traded for expiring contracts. It does not happen. Get it?

Do you think that JT Miller is the best expiring contract to ever be traded, if he is traded?
