Yeah I know, but I couldn't not make one of these.

Also, nobody gunna ask WPG why their star goalie got all these 6's in his contract number? Feels kinda intentional. Sup with that Chevy?

Why should they rebuild? They have a really solid young core already. You could argue to to retool by moving on from Scheifele and Wheeler but really not much past that

It's a team stuck in the middle. Hellebuyck's got two more years till FA, are there any moves they can make that can get them over the top in that time? probably not. Retooling is just treading water.

They were screwed by poor coaching. Barry Trotz looks like a very likely candidate to land there and we saw the effect he had on both Washington and NYI.

Missing the playoffs? If WPG had WSH squad quality (or the one guy who does lots of the goals) then yeah for sure cause then they'd just need a fresh voice in the room. That doesn't appear to be the case. Most of their underlying metrics are middling. I mean its moot, the ownership wont risk rebuilding, but seems shy about making the big moves they need to. Should pick and commit to one.

Winnipeg has one of the best goal scorers in the league, you know that right? And a good coach goes a long way. Again look at the Islanders after Tavares left and Trotz came in. Or Calgary this year with Sutter

How far did the isles go under trotz? Did calgary not lose to a team they were supposed to beat/are we really going to pretend WPG is even close to that level of talent on the team? I know connor is very good, my point is a coach can only do so much if the team isnt build to be a contender. The blue line is an overpaid mess and pretending Scheifele is elite is hurting the team.

The Islanders went to the conference finals 2 years in a row?

I genuinely can't figure out if you are not smart here and don't understand the effect of good coaching, or just trolling here

Bit of both, though i genuinely thought they only made the conference finals the one time. I completely forget about 19-20, for obvious reasons.
