I think Mrazek or Georgiev to Arizona makes sense and, if Mrazek doesn't waive, this is a realistic deal.

thing is Trouba is exactly what the Jackets need but that contract and how he played recently eeeeeh you may be stuck with him keeping with the good and bad results he gives

Not to mention he has a full NMC and it’s highly doubtful he waives after he forced his way out of Winnipeg to go to New York.

I doubt very much Toronto is trading Nylander. And if they are, it's for a similar level impact player, not this package.

i dont know about that, this has value, the first they would flip they get cap space and kakko, and a prospect. the almost 7 mill in cap space is pretty big.

Definitely disagree. They're trying to win a stanley cup and this trade makes them immediately worse. Kaako isn't replacing Nylander's production. After this trade, their offence is worse, and their goaltending is still an issue. Cap space is nice to have, but it's better to have good players who outplay their caphit. No chance this would be a trade for Nylander. If they trade him, they're looking for roster players.

This is the correct take but just want to make one point of clarification....he forced himself out of Winnipeg to go to the US, not necessarily NY in particular.

Are you suggesting NYR use Georgiev as a way to get rid of Nemeth contract? I do agree he goes to EDM or ARZ, but not too sure if they’d have to use Georgiev to get rid of him. Probably can use a mid round pick or a prospect.

I also don’t think Kakko/Nylander is that bad. Yes Nylander is better, but Kakko does have the ability to turn out just as good or better. Toronto also could use the cap space to solidify the defense.

I'd be okay with this deal. It's 2 players on their way out either way. Not coming to a cost is the real prize.

I think he was more trying to get out of Canada. He's a Michigan kid so I don't think it's entirely impossible he comes here.

But the cap concerns do loom a tad large.

I think you misunderstood me. I was referring to the Coyotes deal and mentioned Mrazek as an alternative to Georgiev for Arizona. I don't think Toronto are trading Nylander either.
