Edmonton declines. Georgiev doesn't have that much value and the Oilers have two better goalies signed for next season already.

As an Oiler fan I can tell you this is a lie. If Mike Smith was 100% healthy then sure he's probably still slightly better but the reality is he's not anymore. Even if Smith comes back next year the chances of him staying health for over 60% of the season will be a miracle.

I don't know enough about Georgiev and how good he is etc. to say if he's the solution, but the Oilers will probably need a more reliable option to share the net with Skinner.

Georgiev won't get that return any longer. Teams know that the Rangers wont qualify him. Rangers pass on the Vancouver trade...I think the Miller to NYR trade has passed.

That JT Miller deal doesn't include all out first born children so it doesn't come close.

So you're calling me a liar with no contrary evidence AND an admittance that you "don't know enough about Georgiev and how good he is"?

    Nice.

All I was saying was that Smith is not a better goalie because he isn't healthy enough to play anymore. Georgiev played more games as a back-up than Smith did as a starter this year. I would rather have a goalie who might not be as good in the net play a full season rather than Smith getting injured game 5 and Skinner is forced to be an NHL Starter.

Both Smith and Skinner were objectively better than Georgiev was this year. Even Mikko Koskinen was better than Georgiev. That's sad.
