Devils need to hang on to their goaltenders, especially Daws.

Maybe the Dallas trade but that's all that would happen.

Jackets decline, not even close to moving up 14 spots. Change the pick to a second and add a prospect. Armia isn’t needed by jackets and would be seen as a cap dump.

Detroit has no need for RHD especially when they don’t fit our rebuild timeline.

-Dallas thinks about it because it's not a big ask for a guy they might be able to use.

-CBJ hangs up fast because #26, #66, and a cap dump do *not* get you #6. Gotta add something of big value there.

-Devils' biggest need is goalie - I can't see them giving up one of their goalie prospects who showed flashes of talent this year, plus #37, to take on Josh Anderson's decline years.

-No idea why Detroit would bail you out of that 3x$3.5M you owe David Savard, much less giving you a 2nd rounder to do it. Easy pass for the wings.

And with your UFA signings - Burakovsky made $4.9M this year and scored 61 points. Why is he taking a pay cut here?

All of this is wishful thinking. When do rebuild teams take on older players with term and big to medium contracts for draft picks?

I like that you picked two of 3 teams going thru rebuilds to dump your cap problems and to take picks and prospects to do so. Crazy

Devils should go nowhere near any Anderson trade, let alone giving up a very interesting goalie prospect and a early rd pick in the process.

Yup.

Problem is, outside of 1OA, Suzuki, or Caulfield, MTL just doesn't have anything of value that would interest CBJ. Or, arguably, most teams.

I was expecting another Petry to Detroit trade.

This trade is awful for Detroit too, but at least it wasn't Jeff Petry to Detroit for a 2023 1st and a 2022 2nd.

Montreal just has so many aging RD on expensive contracts they can't *wait* to unload on the Wings!

Dallas should accept the Petry trade.

Columbus passes, #26+#66 and Armia doesn't get you the #12 pick from Columbus not even close.

New jersey passes, Doubt they've any interest in moving their Goalie prospect.

Detroit passes, As RD is the very last thing we need.
