I don't think Strome is necessarily better than the CBJ's current top 6 center options so I doubt they would acquire and sign him to the kind of contract he probably wants.

Calgary might accept that if Johnny Gaudreau walks.

Rangers can't afford Patrick Kane at full value, Even at 50% retention it's still going to be tight.

Dylan Strome wont get anywhere near that kind of return if he isn't qualified, You'd get a 4th for his UFA rights only.

Alex DeBrincat should get even more than Holtz and the 2nd overall pick.

No they certainly would not accept that if Johnny walks. Without Johnny Calgary is at best a bubble team and going from Monahan to Toews doesnt change that
