Why is strome getting 1m a year for 2 years? He just got 48 points in 69 games. That will get him 4-5m a year for 4-5 years.

Who needs draft picks?
You do realize the main reason why the Leafs have these issues is the fact that there is nothing in the farm to pull from.
They need to keep their draft capital and draft players from within to have any shot of getting a cup.

Strome is not likely getting a qualifying offer from CHI apparently. So.... that's why $1m for 2 years

Why not?

Nylander> Miller (only due to age and contract length - extra year out of Nylander vs Miller - production wise they are about the same, maybe a slight edge to Miller)
Holl> Schenn age and upside being the reasons here
#2 is the comp for eating half of the salary

This doesn't make sense?

Miller is the better player and can play all situations, Nylander has the contract and age on his side. Schenn is a much better dman than Holl at half the price.
