"PRICE RETIRES". Price retires, does not allow Montreal to put him on LTIR or allows Price to collect 31m for the next four years.

Reportedly Kris letang wants 8.000,000 x 5 years to remain in Pittsburgh, he's not taking less from Montreal.

Winnipeg passes, No way does that even come close to landing Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Dallas probably accepts that for Jeff Petry.

Rangers definitely accept.

And Detroit 100% passes, We have no use for Mike Hoffman.

Why wasting a top 35 pick for georgiev when you already have your goalie tandem if Price goes to LTIR?

Allen-Monty are good enough for the rebuild.

To be fair, the UFA market for Dmen is pretty light this offseason with not much competition that would drive up the value of Dmen. How much do you think Chiarot will fetch in free agency? Maybe 6.5 mill year. How bout Klingberg? probably hell get the most north of 8 mill? At 35 years old, Letang is worth more than Chairot but he's not worth more than Klingberg so somewhere between their contracts is where he'll end up. As for Hoffman, he's good on the PP and last time I checked the Red Wings were brutal on the Powerplay. Plus he played more minutes than the Red WIngs 3rd line last year. He's affordable and the Red Wings have cap space (they could use a veteran or two for the dressing room).

haha oh yes Allen and Monty are terrific for a rebuild but to be fair Primeau is still a work in progress and bringing in another goalie could be a wise decision in the long term (2 year deal isnt all that risky). Plus Georgiev isnt that kind of goalie that will steal games and generate wins that would hamper getting Bedard.

Allen can possibly be dealt at the TDL and you can shop a goaltender next offseason

Not nearly enough value or quality to get the Jets to think about trading Dubois.
