If Minnesota can't afford Fiala, Then they sure as heck can't afford DeBrincat and Strome who together would cost at least a combined $10,900,000.

FYI Hawks aren't retaining on Alex DeBrincat. Especially not for that.

I agree that they have heaps of bottom six guys... but I think they could refine the roles of said players. They are missing that big energy power forward ever since they traded Coleman. They have a lot of the same thing in their bottom six and could move away surplus to specialize specifics.

They can't afford to resign Fiala, who will likely make north of 7.5m
Debrincat even without retention makes 6.4 - in a way its just kicking the can another year, but it does at least mean a bit of financial savings on the temporary while getting better.
don't ask me how they'll keep this roster the ye ar after tho lol

I think you're a little light on Dylan Strome who'll probably come in around $4,500,000 x 3 to 4 years. You're basically giving him his qualifying offer x 3

Big energy power/large grinder forwards in the devs system: miles wood, Nathan bastian, Nolan Foote, Fabian zetterlund.. giving up a 2nd for a more costly guy we already have doesn’t make sense. Devils are looking for elite/top 6 talent and greenway just isn’t that

What is that Chicago trade? Both sides say jo. Guerin says no to Anaheim trade. All together your Minnesota proposals make no logical sense
Greenway is absolutely not getting moved. He was literally rewarded with 3 years extension to keep 3rd line together. Guerin will not trade him after extension to keep 3rd line together especially for 4th line player Minnesota has enough of.

Rossi needs a role. So no, Minnesota has no reason to trade for strome to block Rossi whose slow also

Why would Minnesota make their team worse by trading greenway. Also player's don't sign extension to get traded. That 3rd line of Eriksson Ek, foligno and greenway is being kept together for the next several roles. With all due respect.

If Chicago moves Cat as part of the rebuild, there's not a chance they want Fiala who's a year and half older

Don’t think Greenway is that good, feels like he needs JEE to carry him through most games.
I’d back Bastian to have the better 22-23 season between the two anyways.
Hope Devils would decline this if offered.
