3 Team Trade - Read Description

Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

This would be a 3 team trade between New Jersey, Anaheim, and Minnesota.

Anaheim would send: John Gibson, #10 overall
Anaheim would receive: #2 overall, Tomas Tatar, Mackenzie Blackwood, Tyson Jost

New Jersey would send: #2 overall, Mackenzie Blackwood, Tomas Tatar, Pavel Zacha
New Jersey would receive: Kevin Fiala, John Gibson, (Kulikov if they want him)

Minnesota would send: Kevin Fiala, Tyson Jost, (Kulikov if NJ wants him)
Minnesota would receive: #10 overall, Pavel Zacha

this is just a rough idea for a trade, more picks and prospects could be thrown around to make things work.

Also, I am not a Devils fan so I am not up to date on what potential contracts could be for their RFAs, so this is just some contract predictions I found online.

Let me know if this deal makes sense or doesn’t make sense for any of the teams, or if there should be anything added on a teams end.

I built this based off of a recent Ducks fan post, so shoutout to them for spurring this idea

I'd add in a prospect (Foote, Bahl, Okhoytuk, Boqvist, think that tier etc) or mid round pick from NJD to MIN if this were happening. Although I kind of hope this doesn't happen as I'm not a fan of Gibson's recent play.

I wonder how much of Gibsons recent struggles are the inconsistency in front of him, his best years came with mid 20s Fowler, Lindholm, Manson, Vatanen. There was also guys like older Bieksa, young Shea Theodore, etc who none of were necessarily stars but were much more consistent players than what ANA has now. I think NJ is kind of at the beginning of that with their defense where they are about to hit a consistent stretch and I could see Gibson back up into the .915 range.

Devils shouldn’t go anywhere near Gibson nor consider trading out from the top 5 (or at all) in this draft.

Should just draft Cooley, trade Zacha for Vanecek and sign one of Marchment, Nichushkin or Copp in FA.
Don’t overthink it.

Damn I think I’d have to smash that from the ANA perspective. A Slaf- Zegras - Terry line would be epic for years to come

might be able to get lundestrom or comtois out of it aswell but i think Jersey already has a ton of forward depth. maybe pastujov then for the future i guess

I don’t see ANA moving Lundestrom for sure. He’s locked himself in as a really complementary 3C to Anaheim’s future 1C 2C in Z and McTavish. Comer could theiretically be moved, but I really hope not, especially before this season because I’m confident in the bounce back. Tracey, Steel, Milano, Mahura would be on the table imo
