i know 5 overall is nice, but Miller is a PPG player, and i'm not sure one asset (plus a third, i guess) will do it. Kinda need multiple things coming back into the Canucks pipeline to make a deal I think.

And for Philly, definitely need more coming back than a guy whose about to be 30 and is a pending UFA in a year for 5 OA

TK lands more than walker and 19, most likely a top prospect would be in that deal

The Miller deal also seems like no enough for Philly to pull the trigger moving out a potential franchise player for a guy on a one year deal whose 30

Konecny is worth a mid-1st, not a 1st and a prospect

TK is definitely worth a first, a prospect and most likely a 3rd pair/bottom 6 player.

No no no, he isn't. He's not in the same tier of players as Fiala, Debrincat, and Boeser per say

I mean, Brock is coming off a year at .64 PPG, TK at .65

TK has had to deal with AV being an absolute leech of a coach and hurting everyone on the Flyers states by .100-.300 PPG, after AV was fired he was a .765 with Hayes and Coots out, plus G getting traded, so he was playing with a 4th line centre during a portion of that time… not to mention a lot of his value is in his overall game. Being a good 2-way player and bringing grit and emotion to the team

Deb is worth well more than a first, prospect, and bottom line player

Fiala probably as well, not as much as Deb, but both these guys have more value than Brock and TK

But yeah. At the end of the day, TK is definitely worth more than 19 overall and a 3rd pair D by anyone whose actually watched him play

His stats and play make him a Tyler Bertuzzi type value

Boeser had a down year for personal reasons, everyone knows he's got a higher ceiling than Konecny, don't even go there

Comparing Konecny to Tyler Bertuzzi is absolute lunacy and Red Wings fans will roast you for it

They both have very similar stats, development, and game

Clearly by this you don’t actually know the value of TK, those of us in the east who have seen him play usually offer much better deals… example Sens fans offer up Lodin, 2023 first, and Brannstrom… See how this deal is a much better offer? Even if the pick is protected it still probably finishes better than 19 with a deeper class, Brannstrom and Walker can be debated, both are good players, Brannstrom has a higher upside. And Lodin is an absolutely insane skilled prospect, sure the chances he pulls those moves off in the NHL are low, but he has enough talent to be a very sexy middle 6 player

I see similar packages around this site from Leafs, Habs, Flames, Bruins, Caps, isles fans and more…

Okay, but I'm not impressed with Konecny being on the offensive downswing from his 19-20 performance, going on two years now

I’d pay that for the oilers. Kids really good and getting better. Would do it at a drop of the hat if I it worked for cap

That’s fair, as I said, AV is a terrible coach and will probably never get a job again because of how much he restricted the entire team. That’s why his last 50 games when AV was fired he was almost back to that 20 season PPG

First of all, AV isn't a terrible coach, right there your logic goes flying out the window

I think we talked about this earlier today, this is why you value him so little… he’s 25, lots of talent breaks out at 26
Marchand, Bertuzzi, Miller, etc… definitely hasn’t hit his prime

Literally everyone on the flyers PPG decreased while AV was coach, and significantly… the moment he was fired they all went back up… Hayes became nearly a PPG when AV got canned

Just because a coach isn't a stylistic fit in one place doesn't make him a bad coach overall

Torts proof this team, gaudreau not coming, he struggled for a while with sutter, he’s not going to torts when he has a choice, strong hard working vets, with some team controlled kids that torts can scare. Good luck Philly

i mean canucks fans can't really be talking lol Miller just had his best season at 29 and his 3 best seasons came at the ages of 27-29, horvat aswell had his best goal scoring season at the age of 27.

No way this guy has peaked, and yes, as a sens fan I’d do that trade in a heartbeat. Lodin/Ostapchuk/Lassi a first and Brannstrom, his value as a player is definitely worth more than what OP asked for

i agree i doubt he has peaked. Philly was terrible this year, new coach, different system, maybe some new additions, ellis and couts comes back all those could potentially turn philly into a competitive team which would ensure konecny's production goes up. if philly keeps their pick and drafts Jiricek they will have a good D core.

Provorv- Ellis
Sanheim- Jiricek
Zamula/York - Risto

this defence would surely take a lot of pressure off Hart
